New cover, the same trusted thorough evaluation and reliability

ATG gets a makeover! A new look but still the same thorough assessment and reliability

Why has UBAtc decided to modify the approval documents?

The new layout of the technical approval documents, together with the modification of the cover page and the addition of other standard pages, is one of the results of UBAtc’s action plan to

  • improve the content of documents and approval processes,
  • progressively digitize UBAtc documentation, based on the concept of structured content,
  • add value to approval documents,
  • intensify cooperation and
  • increase communication.

What changes have been made to approval documents?

The new template makes it easier to add more information to our approval documents, and represents a first step towards their digitization.
In this first stage, readers will notice

  • the approval documents have a more modern look,
  • certain sections have been moved to make the content clearer
  • the approval documents contain more information on the approval and certification operators who carry out the technical assessment of products and certification,
  • certain sections have been added (e.g., the list of reference documents) to make the documents easier to use and update.

Has anything been removed from the approval texts?

No, apart from the added information, the content remains the same.

When will my approval document(s) be updated with the new layout?

Approval documents will be updated with these improvements at their next renewal, e.g., following a continuous assessment or when the holder wishes to introduce technical modifications.
New approval documents, on the other hand, will be published automatically in the new format.

Do I have to do anything to benefit?

No, the UBAtc secretariat and approval operators will take care of everything.

Will this involve any additional costs for approval holders?

No.
