Sustainability in the construction sector: dialogue and collaboration

More than thirty industry stakeholders took part last Wednesday in the second roundtable organised by UBAtc, dedicated to sustainability in the construction sector.

This meeting offered a valuable opportunity for rich and constructive exchanges, focusing on the suitability for use of insulating materials and the various applicable compliance processes. Participants benefited from concrete insights and real-world experience shared by experts in the field.

Thanks to contributions from BCCA, Bureau Bouwtechniek, Essenscia – Purability, Kingspan Insulation and WOOD.BE, several key topics were addressed:

  • the challenges associated with bio-based materials,
  • the technical criteria that must be met,
  • the existing certification frameworks,
  • and the ongoing developments aimed at meeting strengthened sustainability objectives.

Through this collaborative initiative, UBAtc reaffirms its commitment to supporting a sustainable, technically reliable and fair transition for the entire construction sector.
